The UFC has announced a lightweight fight between Davi Ramos and Nick Hein. The bout will be part of the preliminary card of UFC 224, which takes place May 12 at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Ramos joined the UFC last year. In his debut, he dropped a decision against Sergio Moraes on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night 106. Ramos returned at UFC Fight Night 123 and picked up his first UFC win over Chris Gruetzemacher. The finish came via submission 50 seconds into the third round. The victory improved his professional record to 7-2.
Hein enters this fight riding a three-fight winning streak that dates back to 2015. To start the streak, he bested Lukasz Sajewski at UFC Fight Night 69 via decision. Since then, Hein has picked up two more decision victories over Yusuke Kasuya and Tae Hyun Bang. The German fighter had been slated to return to action last September, but he pulled out of a bout at UFC Fight Night 115 with an injury.
The UFC has not announced a main event for the pay-per-view card at this time.
