TUF winner Court McGee will continue his career with a fight against Sean Strickland. The bout will be part of UFC Fight Night 120, which takes place Nov. 11 at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Va.
McGee is coming off a decision loss against Ben Saunders, and he is now 2-2 since returning from an extended hiatus in 2015. After a two-year break from competition, McGee returned in 2015 and defeated Marcio Alexandre. The TUF winner then split a pair of bouts, a loss against Santiago Ponzinibbio and a victory over Dominique Steele, before running into Saunders. McGee first joined the UFC in 2010 and has picked up signature victories over Josh Neer and Robert Whittaker.
Strickland joined the UFC in 2014. He has gone 5-2 in the promotion. From 2015-2016, he won three-straight fights over Igor Araujo, Alex Garcia and Tom Breese. However, in his last fight, Strickland’s momentum came to a halt. He dropped a decision against Kamaru Usman at UFC 210.
In the main event of UFC Fight Night 120, former UFC lightweight champion takes on Dustin Poirier. Also on the main card, Nate Marquardt returns against Cezar Ferreira.
