Bellator prospect Ed Ruth will drop down to welterweight and face Laszlo Furko for his next fight. The bout will be part of Bellator 196, which takes place April 6 at BOK Hall in Budapest, Hungary.

Ruth signed with Bellator in 2016 after an extensive collegiate and international wrestling career. In the promotion, he has won all four of his bouts via knockout. In his last fight, he stopped Chris Dempsey 27 seconds into the second round at Bellator 186.

During his collegiate wrestling career at Penn State, Ruth won three NCAA championships. Following school he represented the U.S. at the 2014 World Wrestling Championships and the 2015 Wrestling World Cup.

Furko holds a 6-4 record as a professional, and he has spent his entire career on the European circuit. In his last fight, he scored a submission victory over Robi Tsenize. He has been competing as a professional since 2015.

In the main event of Bellator 196, former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson will return to action against fellow UFC veteran Roger Huerta.
