Legacy Fighting Alliance flyweight champion Andrea Lee has signed with the UFC. She will make her debut against Kalindra Faria at UFC 216. The card takes place Oct. 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Last weekend, Lee successfully defended her LFA title with a second-round submission victory over Jamie Thorton at LFA 23. She won the vacant title over Heather Bassett at LFA 4. Lee turned professional in 2014 and has built a 8-2 record. She fought six times for Invicta Fighting Championship and picked up victories over Shannon Sinn, Rachael Ostovich, Arial Beck and Jenny Liou.
Faria will also be making her UFC debut, but she has a faced some very respectable competition so far in her career. She has faced off against Jessica Aguilar, Karolina Kowalkiewicz and Carina Damm, although she only scored a victory over Damm. The Brazilian holds an 18-5-1 record as a professional.
In the main event of UFC 216, Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee will face off for an interim version of the lightweight title held by Conor McGregor. Also on the card, flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson defends against Ray Borg.
