Aljamain Sterling will return to action against Brett Johns. The bantamweight fight will be part of UFC Fight Night 128, which takes place April 21 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.
This bout will be Sterling’s first fight back after suffering his first career knockout loss. At UFC Fight Night 123, he lasted less than two minutes against former World Series of Fighting champion Marlon Moraes. Prior to that fight, Sterling had picked up back-to-back wins over two-time Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championships gold medalist Augusto Mendes and former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao.
In his last fight, Johns needed only 30 seconds to defeat former Bellator champion Joe Soto with a calf-slicer submission. The British fighter joined the UFC in 2016 with an undefeated record. He has continued his winning ways inside the cage with wins over Kwan Ho Kwak, Albert Morales and Soto.
The main event of UFC Fight Night 128 has not yet been announced by the promotion. On the main card, former two-division WSOF champion will return to action against Thiago Santois.
