ACB signs UFC and Bellator veteran Marcin Held

Former Bellator title challenger Marcin Held

Absolute Championship Berkut (ACB) has announced the signing of UFC and Bellator veteran Marcin Held. Details regarding his debut, such as date and opponent, were not released.

Held recently finished a disappointing run in the UFC. He signed with the company in 2016 after an extensive career in Bellator. Held dropped his first three fights in the Octagon against Diego Sanchez, Joe Lauzon and Damir Hadzovic. In his last fight, Held finally picked up his first UFC win over Nasrat Haqparast at UFC Fight Night 118.

From 2011 to 2016, Held fought 14 times for Bellator. During his run with the company, he defeated the likes of Phillipe Nover, Rich Clementi, Alexander Sarnavskiy and Patricky Freire. In 2015, he earned a shot at the company’s lightweight title, but Held dropped a decision against then-champion Will Brooks.
