Recently signed featherweight Mike Santiago will take a short notice fight against Zabit Magomedsharipov at UFC Fight Night 115. Magomedsharipov’s original opponent, Nick Hein, had previously been forced off the card due to injury. The card takes place Sept. 2 at the Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The UFC signed Santiago after he defeated Mark Cherico on the seventh episode of “Dana White’s Contender Series.” The victory extended Santiago’s current winning streak to 11-straight fights. The Team Top Notch representative has not lost since falling to Frankie Perez at Ring of Combat 47 in 2014.
Magomedsharipov will also be making his UFC debut. He had been fighting exclusively for Absolute Championship Berkut since joining the promotion in 2014. During his run for ACB, Magomedsharipov went 6-0 with four knockouts and two submissions. In his last fight, he scored a first-round knockout over Valdines Silva at ACB 45.
In the main event of UFC Fight Night 115, heavyweight contender Stefan Struve will return to action against former Bellator champion Alexander Volkov.
