UFC signs Chinese prospect Wang Guan
The UFC has announced an addition to their featherweight roster. The company has signed Chinese prospect Wang Guan. He is expected to make his Octagon debut at an upcoming UFC Fight Night card on June 17 in Singapore.
Per Tapology, Wang holds a 17-1-1 record and is riding a five-fight winning streak that dates back to 2013. In his last fight, he scored a first-round knockout over Ghassan Muhareb at Glory of Heroes 6.
Wang turned professional in 2006. He holds signature wins over Kunlun Fights regular Haotian Wu and One Championship veteran Koji Ando. Wang only professional defeat came against World Series of Fighting bantamweight title contender Bekbulat Magomedov in 2013.
The upcoming UFC Fight Night event will be the promotion’s second card in Singapore. In their only previous visit, the company hosted UFC Fight Night 34 in 2014.
