The UFC has announced a featherweight bout between Alex Caceres and Masio Fullen. The bout will be part of UFC on Fox 18, which takes place Jan. 30 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
Caceres will likely need a victory to keep his place in the UFC. He is currently riding a three-fight losing streak that dates back to 2014. Prior to the losing skid, “Bruce Leeroy” had won four-straight fights including victories over Damacio Page and Sergio Pettis. In his last fight, Caceres fell to Francisco Rivera via knockout in only 21 seconds.
Fullen was part of the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America.” He made his debut at UFC 184 and scored a split-decision victory over Alex Torres. He return to action last June and fell via first-round submission to Makwan Amirkhani. The defeat dropped his professional record to 10-5.
In the main event of UFC on Fox 18, light heavyweight contenders Anthony Johnson and Ryan Bader face off to keep pace in the light heavyweight division. In the co-main event, former Strikeforce champion Tarec Saffiedine will take on Jake Ellenberger.
