The UFC has added a lightweight contest to UFC 195. Abel Trujillo will take on Tony Sims on the Fox Sports 1 undercard of the pay per view card. The event takes place Jan. 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Trujillo will enter this bout looking to stop a two-fight losing skid. After beginning his UFC career with a 3-1 mark, he has suffered back-to-back losses to Tony Ferguson and Gleison Tibau. He currently holds a 12-7 record with eight stoppage victories.
Sims earned a UFC shot earlier this year with a 11-2 record. He made his debut at UFC Fight Night 70 and scored a first-round knockout over Steve Montgomery. In his return fight, Sims dropped a unanimous decision to Olivier Aubin-Mercier on the undercard of UFC Fight Night 74.
In the main event of UFC 195, welterweight champion Robbie Lawler will look to defend his title against former WEC champion Carlos Condit. Also on the card, heavyweight upstart Stipe Miocic attempts to make his case for a title shot against former champion Andrei Arlovski.
