Kiyotaka Shimizu (left) scored a KO win in the headliner of TTF CHALLANGE 02 as well. Shimizu is looking to extend his win streak to four against Yusaku Nakamura in the headliner of TTF CHALLENGE 04Ever since the retirement, Ryo Chonan has been quite active in both training fighters and promoting MMA event.

Besides running his own gym named TRIBE TOKYO M.M.A., Chonan first promoted a big event in 2013 called "TRIBE TOKYO FIGHT" at Korakuen Hall, and in the headliner of this event, Chonan defeated Dan Hornbuckle to capture DEEP 170 lbs title then retired from the sport.

In 2014 he began promoting smaller events named "TTF CHALLENGE" focusing on discovering young talents. Also, not just new talents but also Chonan has discovered new venues that would be wiling to host MMA event. He promoted second TTF CHALLENGE at Nerima Coconeri Hall located near his gym.

And for this upcoming fourth installment of TTF CHALLENGE, Chonan is using a new venue called Esforta Arena Hachiouji.

This is somehow revolutionary in the Japanese MMA because no fight promoters, in the past, really explored outside of the venues like Korakuen Hall, Differ Ariake, TDC Hall, Shijuku FACE, and Shin Kiba 1st RING.

Chonan used the venue in Nerima ward, then now reaching out to the city of Hachiouji, which is, within the prefecture of Tokyo yet outside the city of Tokyo.

The headliner of TTF CHALLENGE 04 is going to be a flyweight bout between Kiyotaka Shimizu and Yusaku Nakamura.

Shimizu is one of top fighters out of Chonan's team TRIBE TOKYO M.M.A., and he is the current King of Pancrase at super-flyweight division. His opponent, Yusaku Nakamura, is a veteran striker who usually fights for DEEP, therefore, this fight can be within the picture of Pancrase vs DEEP.

Co-main is going to be a lightweight bout between veteran from Pancrase Eiji Ishikawa and a former DEEP lightweight champion Daisuke Nakamura. Just like the headliner its a battle between veterans from Pancrase and DEEP.

At the new market like the city of Hachiouji, Chonan did come up with solid fight cards.
