Titan FC announces Jose Torres vs. Pedro Nobre for flyweight title

Titan FC champion Jose Torres

Titan FC has announced that a flyweight title fight between champion Jose Torres and Pedro Nobre will headline their first event of the new year. Titan FC 43 takes place Jan. 21 at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Fla.

Torres won the Titan FC flyweight title in only his third professional fight. He made his professional debut last March with a first-round submission over Travis Taylor. Torres then defeated Reynaldo Duarte at Titan FC 38. Last August, he dropped down to flyweight and defeated Abdiel Velazquez to claim the Titan FC title. Prior to turning professional, Torres competed extensively as an amateur and won a pair of IMMAF world championships.

In his second fight under the Titan FC banner, Nobre faced off against Tim Elliott for the flyweight title. Elliott won a unanimous decision and went on to represent the promotion in the 22nd season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” Nobre returned to action last April and defeated Sid Bice at Titan FC 38. The Brazilian holds an 18-2-2 record as a professional.

Titan FC 43 will air live on UFC Fight Pass.
