Light heavyweights Josh Stansbury and Jeremy Kimball are set to return to the Octagon. The UFC has added a bout between the two to the upcoming UFC Fight Night 112 card. The event takes place June 25 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.
Stansbury is a veteran of the 19th and 23rd seasons of “The Ultimate Fighter.” After reaching the semifinals of the 23rd season, he was invited to compete in the promotion. In his UFC debut, Stansbury defeated Cory Hendricks via majority decision. He returned last December and lost via decision against Devin Clark. The defeat dropped his professional record to 8-3.
Kimball made his UFC debut last January and fell victim to a first-round knockout at the hands of Marcos Rogerio de Lima. The loss stopped a four-fight winning streak that dated back to 2015. In 2013, Kimball had a two-fight stint in Bellator where he went 1-1 with a victory coming over Keith Berry and a loss against Perry Filkins. He holds a 14-6 record as a professional.
The main event of UFC Fight Night 112 is currently unknown. The card also holds the return of former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks who faces off against Tim Boetsch in a middleweight bout.
