Raoni Barcelos and Kevin Aguilar to fight for inaugural LFA featherweight title
Legacy Fighting Alliance has announced a bout to determine the promotion’s inaugural featherweight champion. Raoni Barcelos will take on Kevin Aguilar for the title in the main event of LFA 4, which takes place Feb. 17 at the Horseshoe Bossier City Hotel and Casino in Bossier City, La.
LFA is the result of a merger between Legacy FC and the Resurrection Fighting Alliance. Barcelos was the final RFA featherweight champion, while Aguilar was the finale Legacy FC champion.
Barcelos won the vacant featherweight title in 2015 with a decision victory over Ricky Musgrave. He then went on to defend the belt twice over Bobby Moffett and Dan Moret. The 31-year-old Brazilian also holds victories over former Oklahoma State wrestler Jamal Parks and UFC veteran Tyler Toner.
Aguilar won the Legacy FC title in his last trip to the cage against Tony Kelley. He is now riding a three-fight winning streak since falling to UFC veteran Leonard Garcia in 2013. Aguilar has been fighting professionally since 2010 and holds an 11-1 record.
The main event is the only bout currently announced for LFA 4. The main card will air live on AXS TV.
