UFC light heavyweight Paul Craig has announced his next opponent in the Octagon. Per the announcement, he will face Tyson Pedro at UFC 209. The event takes place March 4 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Craig made his UFC debut last month and scored a second-round submission over Luis Henrique da Silva. Prior to that, Craig went 8-0 mostly in his native U.K. His last two bouts before joining the UFC came under the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts banner where he defeated Karl Moore and Marcin Lazarz.
After receiving a last minute call up to the UFC, Pedro made his UFC debut against TUF runner-up Khalil Rountree. Despite the late notice, the Australian fighter scored a first-round submission. The victory improved his record to 5-0. This bout will be Pedro’s first professional fight outside of his native country.
The main event for UFC 209 has not been announced. However, the main card will feature a heavyweight contest pitting Alistair Overeem against Mark Hunt.
