The UFC has announced a light heavyweight bout featuring Ovince Saint Preux and Marcos Rogerio de Lima. The fight will be part of UFC Fight Night 108, which takes place April 22 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Saint Preux, who played college football at the University of Tennessee, will almost certainly be the hometown favorite. He will be looking to get back on track after losing three-straight fights. He began his UFC run with a 7-2 mark that earned him a shot at the interim UFC light heavyweight title. However, in the title match, he came up short against former champion Jon Jones. Since that bout, he has been upset in back-to-back fights against Jimi Manuwa and Volkan Oezdemir.
De Lima joined the UFC after competing on the third season of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil.” He has gone 4-2 in the promotion. In his last bout, he scored a first-round knockout over Jeremy Kimball at UFC on Fox 23. The victory improved his professional record to 15-4-1.
In the main event of UFC Fight Night 108, featherweight veteran Cub Swanson will look to continue his winning momentum against Artem Lobov.
