ATT up-and-comers face busy weekend at AFL and G-Force

American Top Team’s up-and-comers and grapplers have a busy weekend, not onlywith the ADCC Worlds but also two MMA shows in Florida. ShineFights and Bellator both did great jobs developing theup-and-comers from this team with Hector Lombard taking the Bellator titlewhile Yves Edwards and Micah Miller both had good matchups in ShineFights.  Photos from ShineFights and Bellator are inthe 2009 gallery index at http://malarky.udel.edu/~keith/2009/oldnews09.htm

Next up Action Fight League “Rumble at the Rock” takes place Friday at theSeminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, FL with four ATT fighters.  According to their press release “ActionFight League was developed to partner top national networks with the bestpromoters, gyms, and teams in the world of mixed martial arts.  They have worked with every major network andhave been a part of the largest MMA events and broadcasts to date.”  At this time no broadcast for this show hasbeen announced.  ATT fighters are inbold.

Saturday the team head over to G-Force in Coral Gables, FL.  Originally the main event was Bellator vetsJorge Masvidal and Luis Palomino however Masvidal had to withdraw due to aninjury sustained during practice.  Again,ATT fighters in bold.

In other ATT news MMA fighters Jorge Masvidal and Jeff Monson compete thisweekend at the ADCC Worlds, an event for which Kid Peligro has the best insight.  Marcelo Garcia has worked with ATT before,even opening an affiliate in FL however recently the -76.9 kg champion has beentraining in New Yorkand isn’t viewed as part of the team by observers.  In MMA Luigi Fioravanti fights fellow UFC vetJohn Alessio in MFC live on HDNet next weekend, Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante isrumored to be in DREAM October 6th, Yves Edwards faces Kyle Jensenin Raging Wolf 5 October 10th, and Mike Brown next defends his WECfeatherweight title November 18th
