Royler Seminar at UNIJJ
Continuing with his efforts to always present the best at the UNIJJ, leader Saulo Ribeiro brought his instructor, the legendary Royler Gracie to conduct a mega seminar at the University. The seminar was attended by over 60 students including a host of Black Belts like , Xande Riberio, Wellington "Megaton", Alvaro Romano, Paulo Guillobel, Kid Peligro, Leticia Ribeiro, Fabricio "Morango", Jorge Brito and Gabriela Bermudez.
During the seminar Royler demonstrated a bunch of great techniques while also teaching concepts about different positions and other tips. All that attended had a great time and Royler left with the promise of returning soon.

First American Cup BJJ ournament – Registration is now open
Registration is now open for the First American Cup Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Tournament. This exciting tournament will be held at Los Gatos High School, 20 High School Court, Los Gatos, CA 95030 located just minutes from the San Jose Airport!
On Saturday May 17, 2008 the first day of the tournament, is exclusively for kids aged 4-15 regardless of belt color. The cost for kids early registration prior to Thursday May 8th is $45.00 USD. From May 9 – 11, 2008, registration increases to $60.00 USD.
On Sunday May 18, 2008, the second day of the tournament, will be for competitors in the Juvenile, Adults, Masters and Seniors categories. The cost of early registration for Juveniles through Masters prior to Thursday May 8th is $65.00 USD. From May 9 – 11, 2008, registration increases to $80.00 USD.

- Fully supported by the Confederation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
- Everyone else competes on Sunday

Mario Sperry Seminar in Ohio
The former Pride Fighter and 3 time Abu Dhabi champion Mario Sperry will in Ohio for the first time. He will be teaching a BJJ Seminar in Akron, OH. Mario Sperry is a 3 time World Champion in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, one of the co founders of the Brazilian Top Team, and former instructor of current UFC Heavy Weight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
