This was our hottest event ever!’Highlights were provided by Miami’s Jorge Masvidal and Joe Lauzon in the main event. Masvidal returned to the AFC with a TKO victory over Massachusett’s Lauzon, who proved his reputation as a gamer to be very well deserved. In the 2nd feature fight, Milwaukee’s Nick Thompson took out ATT’s Marcel Ferreira when the referee had to pull him off Ferreira in the 3rd, after a relentless barrage of hard punches. Thompson needed the big finish, as he was down on all cards, with Ferreira working his aggressive JJ gameplan thoroughout the early rounds. Thompson hurt Ferreria at the end of RD 2, and closed it in RD 3, and to his credit, was never in danger of being submitted, as he tied up Ferreira on the ground well from his back, showing an unusual game that kept him safe and frustrated Ferreria.
