Pancrase's Differ Ariake show just finished few minutes ago.
In the headliner of the show, Pancrase's "playing manager" RyoKawamura successfully defended his middleweight King of Pancrase title overShungo Oyama.
They exchanged heavy strikes from the beginning but Kawamura slowly caused moredamages on Oyama. At the end, Kawamura's soccer kick to the head prompted thereferee to step in to stop the fight.
In the another KOP title fight, Takumi and Jon Shores engaged in a very closebattle for the first two rounds. However, in the third round, Takumi controlledthe ground game, finished an American from team Rodeo Style with a rear nakedchoke, and defended his featherweight title.
In the lightweight bout, Takasuke Kume from team ALIVE, once again, proved thathe should be the next challenger for the KOP lightweight title. He comfortablydefeated Koji Nakamura and recorded seven straight submission wins. Now, Kumeis 13-1 as a pro MMA fighter, and if he can't get a shot at KOP title then his managementshould be making calls to the North American promotions.
