It’s been ignored by the majority of North American mediabut RINGS did come back earlier this year, and the promotion is still doing theshow.
The operation is handled by ZST but that actually make sense because ZSTstarted as sort of minor league / successor of RINGS.
And just like the old days, the founder Akira Maeda has been using hisconnection, bringing in interesting fighters from all over the Europe andRussia. Just like Fedor Emelianenko in the RINGS' old days.
In the headliner of this show, Vitali Krat did disclose he needs to improvemore in the take down defense department but overall he was a much harderstriker than Yuki Yamamoto, and this was basically a beat down. Especially inthe second round after Yamamoto spitted out mouthguard on purpose, Krat justlanded heavy blows, and at the end, landed a hard left kick to the body toscore a clear KO win.
Also, in the co-main event of the evening, Konstantin Kireev only needed 27seconds to demolish Hisato Izawa.
Kireev was 700 gram over the contract weight so he had to start the fight withtwo-point deduction on judges' score cards but this really didn't matter for astriker from team RINGS RUSSIA.
Right off the bell, Kireev landed a right hook and when Isawa backed off, hefollowed with fury of punches and completely KO'd a youngster from Washin kai.
