Bellator signs middleweight Jack Hermansson

Multiple MMA media outlets have reported Bellator's signing of middleweightJack Hermansson. His debut is currently unscheduled. However, he could make hisfirst appearance as early as the promotion's "Summer Series," whichbegins on June 22 in West Virginia.

The Norwegian-based fighter trains with former Dream champion Joachim Hansen atTeam Hellboy. Hermansson has begun his career with five-straight stoppagevictories. In his last fight, he defeated Mike Ling at CWFC Fight Night 2 viafirst-round knockout.

I order to earn a title shot, Hermansson will need to win a Bellatortournament. The promotion's model relies on tournament winner getting the nextshot at their belt holders.

Hector Lombard recently left the Bellator middleweight division without a champion.Tournament winners Alexander Shlemenko and Maiquel Falcao are expected to faceoff for the vacant title later this year.
