(UFC and Bellator veteran Roger Huerta)
UFC veteran Roger Huerta has signed with One Fighting Championship and willmake his promotional debut at One FC 4 "Destiny of Warriors," whichtakes place June 23 at Stadium Negara in Malaysia.
MMAFighting.com broke the news of the signing citing confirmation from Huerta'smanager Ali Abdel Aziz.
Huerta signed with the UFC in 2006 and promptly won his first-six fights in thepromotions. His early success earned him the cover of an issue of SportsIllustrated. However, since that run, he is 1-5 with his only victory comingover relatively unknown fighter Chad Hinton. In 2010, Huerta left the UFC andsigned with Bellator Fighting Championships. He was knocked out of the season-two lightweight tournament by Pat Curran and dropped a non-title fight to thenchampion Eddie Alvarez.
Since leaving Bellator in 2010, Huerta has fought only once. He dropped awelterweight contest to War Machine at UWF "Huerta vs. War Machine"last November.
In the main event of One FC 4, former Strikeforce light heavyweight championRenato "Babalu" Sobral will take on Tatsuya Mizuno.
