Several media outlets have reported that Paul Taylor has been forced out of hisscheduled bout at UFC on Fuel TV 4, which takes place July 11 at HP Pavilion inSan Jose, Calif. Now, “Fighters Only” has broken the news that Rafael dos Anjoswill fill in and take on Anthony Njokuani at the event.
Dos Anjos is coming off a first-round submission victory over Kamal Shalorus atthe last Fuel TV event. Since debuting in the UFC in 2008, Dos Anjos has alsodefeated Kyle Bradley, Rob Emerson, Terry Etim and George Sotiropoulos. TheBrazilian will look to improve upon his 16-4 career record.
Njokuani will be looking to win back-to-back fights in the UFC for the firsttime since moving over from the WEC. After going 4-3 in the now-defunctpromotion, he has alternated wins and losses inside the UFC. In his lastouting, he scored a unanimous-decision victory over John Makdessi at UFC 145.
A middleweight contest between decorated wrestlers Mark Munoz and Chris Weidmanis expected to headline UFC on Fuel TV 4. The card will also feature veteranssuch as Brandon Vera and Jon Fitch.
