Jay Hieron to make LFC debut against Mike Bronzoulis

Bellator tournament champion Jay Hieron is set to make his Legacy FightingChampionship debut against Mike Bronzoulis. The fight headlines LFC 12, whichtakes place July 13 at the Arena Theater in Houston.

Last year, Hieron won three-straight fights over Anthony Lapsley, Brent Weedmanand Rick Hawn to win Bellator's season-four welterweight tournament. He thenfaced off against Olympian Ben Askren for the promotion's title belt. Afterfive rounds, Askren walked away with the decision.

Over the course of his career, Hieron has also fought for the IFL, UFC andStrikeforce. He holds victories over Jake Ellenberger, Jason High, Jesse Taylorand Joe Riggs.

Bronzoulis wil be looking to right the ship after dropping back-to-back fightsto Jorge "Macaco" Patino and Gerald Harris. The Strikeforce veteranis 13-5 as a professional and his signature performance was a majority drawwith UFC fighter Kamal Shalorus in 2009.
