Shane Del Rosario to face Stipe Miocic at UFC 146

Shane Del Rosario and Stipe Miocic will now face off on the main card of UFC146, which takes place on May 26 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.The bout was officially announced by UFC president Dana White on Twitter.

Fans have longed to see Del Rosario in the UFC for quite some time. The formerWBC Muay Thai champion has built an 11-0 record since making his MMA debut in2006. In 2009, he signed with Strikeforce. He fought for the promotion threetimes defeating Brandon Cash, Lolohea Mahe and Lavar Johnson.

Miocic wrestled collegiately at Cleveland State University. After college, hecompeted as an amateur boxer and captured a Golden Gloves title. Last year, hemade his UFC debut with a unanimous decision over Joey Beltran at UFC 136. Hereturned to defeat Phil De Fries earlier this year.

The all heavyweight main card of UFC 146 will feature a heavyweight titlefight. Champion Junior dos Santos will defend his title against former championFrank Mir.
