The UFC has tabbed Nathan Coy to replace his teammate Michael Graves at UFC Fight Night 80. Coy will face Danny Roberts at the event, which takes place Dec. 10 at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
Coy and Graves both represented American Top Team on the 21st season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” The elder Coy has previously fought for both Bellator and Strikeforce, but this will be his UFC debut. Over the course of his career, he has picked up signature victories over Paul Bradley, Dhiego Lima, Mike Pierce and Rick Story. In 2012, he defeated Ryan McGillivray for the MFC welterweight title.
Roberts went 3-1 as a professional boxer before converting to MMA in 2010. In MMA has built an 11-1 record as a professional. He is currently riding a five-fight winning streak. In his last fight, Roberts scored a first-round knockout over Bellator veteran Jim Wallhead.
In the main event of UFC Fight Night 80, Paige VanZant will take her biggest step up in competition to date and face Rose Namajunas.
