McKee submits Moore, remains undefeated at Bellator 187

A.J. McKee remained undefeated but struggled for the status submitting Brian Moore by rear-naked choke only after being staggered in the second and suffering a cut above his right eye.  BAMMA 32/Bellator 187 took place November 10th at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland with the main card broadcast on Spike TV.

A.J. McKee used his wrestling to control round 1 but Brian Moore switched gears in the second scoring a right cross that damaged McKee.  McKee bounced back in the third to drop Moore early and went to work taking his back before eventually finding the rear-naked choke at the 0:43 mark.  McKee’s record stayed perfect at 10-0, Moore took his second loss in three fights or one year to emerge 10-6.

The co-main event turned out to be as one-sided in the cage as it was on paper as Sinead Kavanagh dispatched Maria Casanova in just over half a minute.  Kavanagh dropped Casanova then mounted her fallen opponent to deliver strikes for the TKO at just 0:34.  Kavanagh now stands 5-2 with her two-fight skid broken, Casanova’s third loss in a row left her record 3-6.

On the BAMMA portion of the undercard interim flyweight champion Andy Young took the vacant world title with a unanimous decision over Daniel Barez, Alex Lohore defended the world welterweight championship with a kneebar of Richard Kelly.  BAMMA’s next event takes place December 15th.

Bellator return to Israel on November 16th for Bellator 188 with Patricio Freire defending the featherweight title against Daniel Weichel.  Counting a “Monster Energy Fight Series” card Bellator have five more events scheduled for the remainder of the year.
