LFA kick off 2018 with Curtis Millender vs. Nick Barnes

Legacy Fighting Alliance are the first independent out of the gate in 2018 as Curtis Millender takes on Nick Barnes.  LFA 30 takes place January 12th at the Costa Mesa Hall at OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, CA with a main card broadcast on AXS TV.

13-3 Curtis Millender is best known for going 2-2 in Bellator with losses to Brennan Ward and Fernando Gonzalez but wins over Steven Ciaccio and Johnny Cisneros.  After starting 2017 with the win over Cisneros Millender moved on to LFA where he defeated Kevin Holland and Matthew Frincu which increased his win streak to five in a row.  12-2 Nick Barnes is also a Bellator vet with a victory over James Terry for his sole promotional bout.  Barnes went on to go 1-1 in RFA, one of the predecessors to LFA, with a win over Jose Diaz and loss to Brian Camozzi.  Last year his win over Chad Curry was the main event of LFA 20.

In the co-main event 10-1 Fernando Padilla faces 9-2 Talison Soares.  Padilla made his LFA debut in October when he defeated Darrick Minner, his win since then was over Jeffrey Mesa in regional promotion Mid-Pacific Championships.  Soares is making his LFA debut coming off wins over Carlos Lima and Antonio Araujo in Brazil.
