Khonry Gracie, the son of UFC Hall of Fame member Royce Gracie, has signed with Bellator MMA. Per a report from MMAFighting, he will make his debut against a to-be-announced opponent at Bellator 192, which takes place Jan. 20 at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
Gracie recently made his amateur MMA debut. He scored a nine-minute decision victory over Ben Clark at Attitude MMA Fights 10 last September.
With the signing, he becomes the latest second generation fighter to join Bellator. The company currently promotes AJ Mckee, who is the son of UFC veteran Antonio McKee, and Kevin “Baby Slice” Ferguson Jr., who is the son of the late “Kimbo Slice.”
Gracie’s father won three of the first UFC tournaments in 1993 and 1994. He last fought at Bellator 149 and scored a first-round knockout over rival Ken Shamrock.
In the main event of Bellator 192, Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima will put his title on the line against former UFC title contender Rory MacDonald. Also on the card, former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson takes on Chael Sonnen in a Bellator heavyweight tournament bout.
