Jumabieke will continue to look for win against Williams
The UFC has officially added a bantamweight bout to their next trip to Australia. Jumabieke Tuerxun and Patrick Williams will face off at UFC Fight Night 55, which takes place on Nov. 8 at the Allphones Arena in Sydney.
With a 14-0 record many hoped that Tuerxun could be a key figure for the UFC’s hopeful expansion into China. However, so far in the UFC he has yet to taste victory. He made his debut last March and dropped a decision to Mark Eddiva. “The Wild Wolf” returned in July but fell via armbar submission to Leandro Issa late in the third round.
Williams debut on the undercard of UFC 172. He fell victim to a highlight-reel flying-knee knockout from Chris Beal. Prior to signing with the UFC, Williams had picked up back-to-back wins over Gabe Maldonado and Rafael Dias under the XFC and Fight Time banners respectively. The Freestyle Fighting Academy product holds a 7-4 record as a professional.
In the main event of UFC Fight Night 55, middleweights Luke Rockhold and Michael Bisping. The former Strikeforce champion and TUF winner have built the fight into a grudge match with excessive trash talk on social media.
