Undefeated flyweights Jarred Brooks and Deiveson Figueiredo will fight as part of the preliminary card of UFC 119. The card takes place Oct. 28 at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Brooks made his UFC debut last month and scored a split-decision victory over Eric Shelton at UFC 214. Prior to joining the UFC, Brooks began his career with 12-straight victories including victories over former Shooto title challenger Junji Ito and Jun Nakamura.
Figueiredo also recently made his UFC debut. He defeated Marco Antonio Beltran via technical knockout when his opponent failed to come out for the third round. Before signing with the UFC, Figueiredo built an undefeated 11-0 record in his native Brazil. In those 11 victories, he scored 10 stoppages.
In the main event of UFC Fight Night 119, former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida will take on Derek Brunson in a middleweight bout.
