Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm will return to action against Bethe Correia. The bout has been added to UFC Fight Night 111. The card takes place June 17 at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.
Holm defeated Ronda Rousey to claim the UFC women’s bantamweight title in the main event of UFC 193. However, since that win, she has lost three-straight bouts. In her first title defense, Holm submitted to Miesha Tate. She then dropped a fight to Valentina Shevchenko via decision. In her last fight, Holm fought Germaine de Randamie for the inaugural women’s featherweight title but dropped another decision.
Correia won her first six fights in her native Brazil before signing with the UFC in 2013. In the UFC, she won her first three fights over Julie Kedzie, Jessamyn Duke and Shayna Baszler to earn a shot at the title. Correia then faced Rousey for the belt and lasted only 34 seconds. Since the title fight, she has gone 1-1-1 with a split-decision victory over Jessica Eye at UFC 203.
In the main event of UFC Fight Night 111, former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski will return to action against Marcin Tybura.
