Heavyweight brawlers Lewis and Hamilton added to UFC 192
The UFC has officially announced a heavyweight contest for UFC 192. Derrick Lewis will take on Anthony Hamilton at the event, which takes place Oct. 3 at the Toyota Center in Houston.
Lewis joined the UFC in 2014 and quickly made a name for himself as a knockout artist. In his first two bouts, he scored devastating finishes over Jack May and Guto Inocente. However, since then he has gone only 1-2 with a victory over Ruan Potts and losses against Matt Mitrione and Shawn Jordan.
Hamilton also signed with the UFC last year. He has gone 2-2 inside the Octagon. In his last fight, he took home a unanimous-decision victory over Daniel Omielanczuk at UFC Fight Night 64. In 2013, Hamilton defeated Smealinho Rama to claim the MFC heavyweight championship. He defended it once over TUF alumnus Darrill Schoonover before joining the UFC.
In the main event of UFC 192, light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will look to defend his title against Alexander Gustafsson.
