Former champion Velasco returns to face Bellator vet Lima at TPF 33

Two of Tachi Palace Fights’ most experienced lightweights clash as 10-4-1 Rolando Velasco faces 13-5 Rodrigo Lima.  TPF 33 takes place November 2nd at the Tachi Palace in Lemoore, CA with a webcast at Sherdog.com.

In his last fight Rolando Velasco lost the TPF title and saw his three-fight win streak broken with a loss to Cody Gibson by unanimous decision.  Now off for almost a year-and-a-half Velasco seeks to reclaim his old title with this bout being the first step.  Rodrigo Lima may be making his TPF debut but he went 1-1 in Bellator in 2013 including a defeat of Ronnie Mann while in 2015 he defeated Matt Betzold in LFC.  After Betzold Lima took over two years off before returning to MMA in June when he lost to Shawn Bunch in regional promotion Conquer Fighting Championship.

The co-main event is a battle of undefeated but inexperienced fighters as Chris Lewis faces Mitchell Sipe, both holding records of 2-0.  Lewis started his career with a win over Myron Smith in Bellator in June 2016 then defeated Van Michael Palacio for his TPF debut in May.  Sipe defeated Jose Cabezas in regional promotion Warriors Cage ten defeated Joseph Ramirez for his TPF debut.
