Eryk Anders has announced that his next bout will come against John Phillips. The middleweights will face off on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night 123, which takes place Dec. 9 at the SaveMart Center in Fresno, Calif.
Anders began his professional MMA career in 2015. After two years of fighting, he had built an impressive 8-0 record and won the Legacy Fighting Alliance title over Brendan Allen. These accomplishments earned him a contract in the UFC. In his last fight, he made his Octagon debut and scored a first-round knockout over veteran Rafael Natal at UFC on Fox 25.
Phillips will be making his UFC debut this December. He holds a 21-6 record as a professional and has been competing since 2005. Since falling against UFC veteran Jesse Taylor in 2013, Phillips has won four fights in a row. In his last fight, he scored a first-round knockout over Otavio Lacerda at Budo Fighting Championships 16.
The main event of UFC Fight Night 123 is not currently announced. The card also features a flyweight contest between Alex Perez and Carls John de Tomas and a lightweight match between Scott Holtzman and Darrell Horcher.
