The UFC has announced a light heavyweight addition for their upcoming trip to Houston. Daniel Jolly will take on Khalil Rountree at UFC Fight Night 104, which takes place Feb. 4 at the Toyota Center.
Jolly signed with the UFC last year after building a 5-0 record on the independent circuit. In his UFC debut, he fell via first-round knockout to Misha Cirkunov. “The Werewolf of Texas” native has been fighting professionally since 2011.
Rountree competed on the 23rd season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” on the show, he defeated Mo De’Reese and Josh Stansbury and reached the light heavyweight finals. In the finale bout, Rountree dropped a one-sided decision against Andrew Sanchez. He returned last November and failed to make it out of the first round against Tyson Pedro and fell via submission. The two losses in the UFC dropped Rountree’s professional record to 5-2.
In the main event of UFC Fight Night 104, “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung will return from an extended hiatus and take on Dennis Bermudez.
