The UFC has signed bantamweight Cindy Dandois to face Alexis Davis. The bout will be part of UFC Fight Night 108, which takes place April 22 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Dandois holds an 8-2 record that includes victories over Lion Fight champion Jorina Baars, UFC veteran Jessamyn Duke and Invicta FC featherweight champion Megan Anderson. Dandois burst onto the scene in 2009 when she upset former Strikeforce champion Marloes Coenen in her professional MMA debut.
Davis has been fighting exclusively for the UFC since joining the promotion back in 2013. She won her first three bouts for the company against Rosi Sexton, Liz Carmouche and Jessica Eye. She then earned a shot at then-champion Ronda Rousey. However, she failed to make it past the 16 second mark before being stopped. Since that loss, Davis split a pair of bouts with a win coming over former Strikeforce champion Sarah Kaufman and a loss coming against Olympic medalist Sara McMann.
In the main event of UFC Fight Night 108, veteran Cub Swanson will look to continue his upward trajectory against Artem Lobov.
