Christian Colombo gets new opponent for UFC Fight Night 119

UFC heavyweight Christian Colombo

Christian Colombo’s original opponent for UFC Fight Night 119, Carlos Felipe, will no longer be allowed to compete. Colombo will now face Marcelo Golm at the event, which takes place Oct. 28 at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Colombo has been out of action since falling via submission against Luis Henrique on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night 100. Prior to that, he made his UFC debut and fought to a draw against Jarjis Danho at UFC Fight Night 93. His professional record currently stands at 8-2-1.

Golm holds a 4-0 record as a professional. He has not fought outside of his native Brazil. He has scored knockouts in all four of his fights. In his last first, he finished Italo Marques. He had been scheduled to face UFC competitor Arjan Bhullar in 2016, but the bout never materialized.

In the main event of UFC Fight Night 119, former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida will return to action against Derek Brunson in a middleweight fight.
