Boxing convert Heather Hardy will return to Bellator this fall. Hardy has announced that she will fight against a to-be-announced opponent at Bellator 185, which takes place Oct. 20 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
Hardy recently made her MMA debut on the undercard of Bellator 180. On that night, she scored a third-round knockout over Alice Yauger. The boxer had been previously scheduled to debut against Brieta Carpenter at Invicta FC 21, but the bout fell apart due to an injury to Carpenter.
In the boxing ring, Hardy has built an undefeated 20-0 record as a professional. She made her debut in 2012 and has held the WBC International female featherweight title, bantamweight title and super bantamweight title. In her last boxing match, she took home a unanimous-decision victory over Edina Kiss last May.
In the main event of Bellator 185, former Strikeforce champion Gegard Mousasi will make his promotional debut against former Bellator champion Alexander Shlemenko. Also on the card, former light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary looks to get back on track against Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal.
