A women’s strawweight matchup between Angela Hill (7-3) and Nina Ansaroff (7-5) has been added to November’s UFC Fight Night 120 card. The promotion recently announced the booking.
UFC Fight Night 120 takes place Nov. 11 from Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Virginia. A lightweight bout between Dustin Poirier and Anthony Pettis is expected to headline the card.
Hill is coming off a unanimous decision win over Ashley Yoder at the TUF Redemption Finale in July. Prior to that she dropped a decision Jessica Andrade at UFC Fight Night 104 in February following a four-fight winning streak under the Invicta FC banner.
“Overkill” originally made a successful octagon debut back in Dec. 2014 with a decision win over Emily Kagan. However, after dropping her next two fights she signed with Invicta FC and became the promotion’s strawweight champion in May 2016 with a win over Livia Renata Souza.
Ansaroff snapped a two-fight skid in January with a submission win over Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger at UFC Fight Night 103. Before that “The Strina” had dropped decisions to Juliana Lima and Justin Kish in her first two octagon appearances.
The 31-year-old Florida native had been on a five-fight finishing streak prior to signing with the UFC, including a TKO “Knockout of the Night” win over Munah Holland at Invicta FC 7 in 2013. Four of Ansaroff’s seven career wins have been by knockout and two by submission.
