Aiemann Zahabi will continue his UFC career against Ricardo Ramos. The bantamweight bout, which the UFC has confirmed, will be part of UFC 217. The card takes place Nov. 4 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Zahabi joined the UFC earlier this year after building an undefeated 6-0 record in his native Canada. In his debut, he scored a unanimous-decision victory over Reginaldo Vieira at UFC Fight Night 105. Prior to that fight, all of Zahabi’s fights had been finished by either submission or knockout.
Ramos is also coming off a victory in his UFC debut. At UFC Fight Night 104, he scored an upset of Michinori Tanaka via decision. Prior to signing with the UFC, Ramos went 9-1 for a variety of promotions in Brazil and the U.S. From 2015-2016, he has a three-fight stint in Legacy FC where he scored victories over Justin Rader and Cody Walker but suffered his only professional defeat at the hands of Manny Vazquez.
In the main event of UFC 217, UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping will look to defend his title against former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, who will be returning after a four-year hiatus.
